Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanghati Samity on Monday sought direct intervention of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to restore peace in Chittagong Hill Tracts that turned unstable following Saturday's violence in Baghaichhari of Rangamati.
At a rally organised to protest killing indigenous people in Baghaihat, the indigenous leaders accused army of killing people and setting fire to nine villages at Baghaihat under Baghaichhari upazila.
