Deal signed with UNDP for development of CHT

A fresh momentum is expected to be created in development of the Chittagong Hill Tracts region through the signing of a latest agreement between the government and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to extend the CHT development project for next four years.

The two sides decided to extend the 'Promotion of Development and Confidence Building in the Chittagong Hill Tracts' scheme until September 2013, based on the positive impacts of the current phase of the project which ends in September 2009, an official announcement said on Sunday.>more> http://nation.ittefaq.com/issues/2009/09/28/news0212.htm
